Love In Abundance, Inc (LIA) was initially established (in 2002) to assist single parent families who seemed to be struggling with an inability to remember to function as a viable family unit in the midst of being a separated or divorced family unit. A prevailing reality is divorce, much like music, crosses all societal boundaries. And at times, the separation (for the parent) provides little or no consideration for the necessity of adhering to the mandates of a productive family unit for the sake of the child or children. Parents can, in fact, become so focused on his/her separation that they appear unable to realize the devastating affects of the divorce or separation for the child. Therefore, LIA stepped in to act as a bridge for effective communication into the real issues, problems, or concerns of said families for the successful survival of the still existent family for the families and the child.

In an earnest effort to be a benefit to and not a detriment for the lives of children struggling through some fault of their own, our motto for students is:
Before you get to the CAPITAL; you must be willing to make some INVESTMENTS in Yourself!

Beginning in the 2005-2006 school year, Love In Abundance was blessed to add an in-school program which brought with it the inclusion of working poor families because the pertinent issues for single parent families are the same for those considered “working poor”.

 As a result of lessons taught to us by the students in school, Love In Abundance Conceptual Framework for Responsible Families will be carried out through three integrated phases:

1. Capital Investments for Individual Student Enrichments,
2. Effective Parental & Family Restructuring; and
3. Complete Neighborhood Revitalization
